Deals on weighted blankets and loungewear

Photography: Casper

Casper’s weighted blanket is made with cool cotton, which is ideal for those who tend to get hot under too many layers. Depending on the weight you choose (10, 15, or 20 pounds), Casper’s weighted blanket will have a different feel. WIRED reviewer Medea Giordano says the lighter version has a “comfortably crushed feel” while the heavier option is “like a Thundershirt for humans”.

Use code Back2School to see the discount at checkout. The YNM Weighted Blanket is a super soft knitted blanket. It’s also lightweight, so if you’re new to the world of weighted blankets, it’s a good place to start. There are also a few velvet options.

There’s nothing more comfortable than a nice pair of sweatpants. Brooklinen’s Bushwick Pants received an honorable mention in our Best Loungewear Buyer’s Guide. They’re unisex, feel roomy but not baggy, and have a non-budget drawcord in the waistband.

WIRED reviewer Louryn Strampe says these slippers have become her favorite dry-weather slippers, but they need to be broken in before they feel super comfortable. They’re also vegan, with a soft crossover faux fur.

If you’re looking for a weighted blanket you can share with a partner, Layla’s comes in a king-size version, among other sizes. It’s worth noting that it’s often discounted, but we still think it’s a bargain.

Deals on running and outdoor equipment

There is something uniquely calm about the beach when fall arrives. And for those who love long runs on the beach, Xero Shoes’ Aqua X Sport (on sale for men) is our top pick for minimalists. The sides and toe box have holes for breathability and there’s a cord you can pull to cinch your feet in. Whenever they fill up with sand, cleaning them is as easy as slipping the shoes off your feet and dumping the sand.

Fanny packs are useful in theory but don’t always work in practice depending on how much stuff you carry when you go on a run. Nathan’s VaportSwiftra vest, on the other hand, allows you to carry up to 4 liters of stuff. It’s our favorite storage solution in our Best Running Gear guide, for its ability to store gloves, packable jacket, water bladder and hat without feeling heavy.

The Nike Wildhorse 7 Trail Running Shoe is the cutest pick in our roundup of the best trail running shoes. They are not only the best looking running shoes on the market, but they also offer good traction while being breathable and lightweight. However, they are extremely small, so it might be worth going up half a size.

If you’re looking for a sign to go camping and enjoy the fresh air before winter arrives, this might be the one. This Coleman Evanston tent holds the title of best in our entire buying guide. This is a great option for those new to camping or experienced. It is quite affordable, easy to install and offers good rain protection.

Want to upgrade your garden to the next level? Solo Stove’s Bonefire is a great option. It burns wood but is virtually smokeless, and is also extremely durable and fairly easy to move around your space. If you want more options, we also recommend checking out the Solo Stove Yukon.

With one of the lowest intensity levels we’ve tested, we’d recommend this one if you’re looking for a massage gun that isn’t super intense. Of course, it also has a higher intensity level which still feels quite powerful. It also comes with seven attachments, including one that’s supposed to help with cellulite.

In our testing, we found the Lairlux massage gun to be a little tricky to figure out in terms of placement, and its attachments were fine compared to other massage guns we’ve tried. But it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for one with digital controls that let you set an exact intensity level (from one to 20). This way it is much easier to find the right level according to your preferences.
