2D Roguelite Infused With Humor, Falling Out, Announced For PC And Console

New indie publisher Firestroke and solo indie developer PolyCrunch Games today announced that their challenging yet accessible roguelite, Fall, will be released on PC and console this year. The announcement is supported by a feature-rich demo that will be immediately available for download on PC (via Steam).

To celebrate the announcement, Firestroke has released a trailer for the upcoming 2D roguelite.

“Falling Out was inspired by the era of 16-bit gaming with charming colors, the challenging and rewarding nature of classic roguelikes, but with the aim of bringing it to a wider audience. Firestoke was the perfect partner for my vision because of their desire to create accessible games that everyone can enjoy. This is what we are building and I can’t wait for everyone to try the demo! said Neville Attard, founder of PolyCrunch Games.

“We are thrilled to have partnered with PolyCrunch Games to bring FALLING OUT to a global audience. Our goal is to deliver compact, accessible, social and, above all, fun games for console and PC. FALLING OUT is all that and more! Added Paul Farley, CEO and Founder of Firestoke. “The game is currently slated to be our first release and we look forward to sharing it with players later in 2022.”

About Falls

In Falling Out, you take control of two accidental adventurers, Giorgio and Felicie, as you explore ancient kingdoms, uncover treasures, battle terrifying creatures, and try to avoid traps. The dream getaway quickly turned into a vacation from hell, so ditch the itinerary because now you’ll have to choose your own path. Navigate through procedurally generated temples that are peppered with unique obstacles and challenges, all offering the perfect balance of risk and reward.

You don’t always get along but you will have to work together. Play in single or multiplayer co-op, utilize their unique attributes with seamless character switching, and traverse each world to find the exit.

The temples are also a bit prone to flooding…so don’t hang around too long, grab what you can and get to the exit before it’s too late. Oh, and please leave your partner behind…
