(RED BANK, NJ) – The Count Basie Center for the Arts presents An Evening of Humor with John Cleese “Why There Is No Hope” on Thursday October 7, 2021 at 7:30 pm. Don’t miss John Cleese’s “One and Only” as he examines the dysfunctional world we live in and “Why There Is No Hope”.

“The Funniest Man In The World” first made his mark as a member of the legendary Monty Python troupe in the 1960s and has gone on to write, produce, direct and star in some of the greatest comedic hits. for the past forty years, even receiving an Oscar Nomination for Best Screenplay for “A Fish Called Wanda”. But John is far from your garden variety artist. Since the beginning of his career, he has continuously used his enormous talents to advance the political causes in which he believes.

In 2014, John published his New York Times hit memoir, “So Anyway …”.

Tickets start at $ 59 and are available for purchase in line. There is a limit of 8 tickets per billing address.

Beginning September 8, the Count Basie Center for the Arts will require guests to present any of the following to attend events at the Hackensack Meridian Health Theater, Vogel, or Basie Center Cinemas: Proof of Full Vaccination or A negative COVID-19 test performed within 72 hours of door

Guests aged 12 and under are not required to present test results, but must remain masked during all events.

For events before September 8, all customers must remain masked except when eating or drinking. The masks will continue to be STRONGLY ENCOURAGED moving forward.
