From Paramount and eOne, the next Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Thieves The live-action movie just unveiled its cast of rogue characters and monsters in an all-new trailer that debuted at its San Diego Comic-Con panel.
The new trailer leans into comedy, promising an epic adventure with creatures, magic, and humor. Think buddy comedy with fantasy monsters rather than serious fantasy with lots of dragons.
The Dungeons & Dragons the film will be released in theaters in March 2023.
The film follows “a charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers go on an epic heist to recover a lost relic, but things go dangerously wrong when they run into the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and the playful spirit of legendary big-screen role-playing in a hilarious, action-packed adventure.
The film features an original story but is set in the Forgotten Realms, an iconic fantasy setting in the heart of the Dungeons & Dragons gaming franchise and beyond.
The cast is impressive; Chris Pine stars beside Michelle Rodriguez (resident Evil), Justice Smith (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), Hugh Grant, and Sophie Lillis (That, that chapter two, Gretel and Hansel). Each of them will face an emblematic class from the domain of Dungeons & Dragons. Pine, for example, takes the Bard, and Lillis represents the Druid, a magical entity with the ability to transform into OwlBear.
