Outdoor Calendar: WNY Hiking Challenge Starts December 21 | Outside

January 2 – The WNY Winter 3D Archery League starts at Glen Coe Conservation, 9869 Foote Road, Glenwood, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. $ 10 per week for 13 weeks. Teams of 3 to 6 people. For the filming of Glen Coe, contact Pat Abramo at 438-8601. There are courses for children with a maximum of 20 meters to open shooters with a maximum of 50 meters. All targets are at known distances and rangefinders are allowed. The host clubs are Collins, West Falls, Evans and Glen Coe.

January 4 – Double-pressure pistol shooting at Allied Sportsmen, 12846 Clinton St., Alden. First and third Tuesday through March at 6:15 p.m. For more information, contact Fred Weymer at 359-2475.

January 4 – Monthly meeting of the Lake Ontario Charter Boat Association at 7 p.m. at the Irondequoit Rod and Gun Club, 658 Bay Front S., Rochester (first Tuesday of each month).

January 4-5 – Indoor Archery Scratch League at the Three-F Club, 904 Swann Road, Lewiston, 4pm to 9pm for non-members. Club members can shoot on any day. It will last eight weeks. The cost is $ 30 (one-time fee). Individuals, not teams. Vegas 3-spot or one face. Young people are welcome but must shoot 20 meters. Call Ryan Lucas at 628-8194 for details.

January 7 – The Ten X Shooting Club junior shooting program continues for ages 9 to 20. The club is located at 853 Ransom Road, Lancaster. Beginner shooters arrive at 6 p.m. for instruction. Shooting at 6.30 am. Air rifles for ages 9 and up; .22lr for 12-20 year olds. Everything is provided by the club. The cost is $ 5 per night. If you shoot .22lr, extra $ 5 or bring your own ammo.
