Two men charged after allegedly found with ghost guns

Two men are facing charges after police say they were in possession of multiple illegal firearms.

New York State Police investigators from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) say two men, identified as Alec D. Hollenbek, 19, of Lincklaen, New York, and Duane G. Hollenbeck, 53, of Moravia, New York reportedly had “numerous ghost guns and large capacity ammunition feeders that do not comply with the NY SAFE Act”.

Alec Hollenbeck was arrested on Tuesday August 30, 2022. Duane Hollenbeck was arrested on September 7, 2022.

They each face the following charges:

  • Criminal possession of a weapon (class C felony)
  • Third degree criminal possession of a weapon (class D felon)

Both men were arrested and released on their own recognizance.

Alec Hollenbeck is due to answer the charges in Lincklaen City Court on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

Duane Hollenbeck is due to answer the charges in Lincklaen City Court on September 20, 2022.
